Peter White Public Library
Marquette, MILocated near downtown Marquette, The Peter White Public Library (PWPL) has served Marquette area residents for more than a century.
In a multi-phased construction project that spanned the course of almost two years, IDI worked with PWPL to renovate the near 150-year-old building, including providing structural stabilization and cleaning of the historic limestone façade.
The newly renovated youth area gives children plenty of space to read and play. A teen and tween zone provides older kids a place to study and hang out with friends and a brand new programming room offers space for before and after-school activities.
Additional work included complete demolition and reconstruction of the grand east limestone staircase, refurbishment of public spaces on all three floors and the implementation of public meeting rooms.
