With the changing of the colors and the cooler temperatures here in the U.P., it could only mean one thing; it was time for IDI’s 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off! IDI started this new tradition last year, as a way for our employees to gather, share a meal and have some friendly competition. The winner of the cook-off gets to put their name on the trophy and stake claim to being the best chili cook of the office for the next 12 months.
This year we had 4 entries in the competition. Each entry had something different to offer those who were judging, with one offering the addition of noodles, one being a vegetarian dish, and the other two having different spices included.
After all the tasting had been done, the votes were counted. This year’s chili cook-off winner was Travis Hongisto. His chili was definitely the spiciest of all of the entries, I guess the hotter the better when it comes to chili at IDI.
